On September 18, it became known that official Baku invited Yerevan to exchange Armenian citizens Karen Kazaryan and Araik Kazaryan, who were captured in Azerbaijan, for Azerbaijanis Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, who were serving their sentences in Artsakh.
Recall that the last time such an initiative on the part of Baku was shown in November 2018, but then instead of Araik Ghazaryan (he was taken into Azerbaijani captivity on August 12 of this year), the name of a resident of Vanadzor, who has been in Azerbaijani dungeons since June 2017, was featured , Zaven Karapetyan. Subsequently, Karapetyan, suffering from a mental disorder, was released by the Azerbaijani side in exchange for a resident of the Kazakh region of Azerbaijan, Elvin Ibragimov, who crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and was arrested in March 2019. And now a new initiative followed.
