According to the press service of the president, Maya Gojkovic noted that she considers the visit of the President of Armenia successful from the point of view of developing bilateral relations. "Your visit opens a new page in our relations, today you had many significant meetings and important results have been achieved. In particular, I mean an agreement on a visa-free regime between the two countries, which will help to intensify bilateral contacts. Our peoples have such a fate that they should build a common future, "the Serbian Parliament Speaker emphasized.
In turn, President Armen Sarkissian noted: "We attach great importance to parliamentary relations, not only because our country has become a parliamentary republic, but also because we really understand the importance of the voice of the people. We have huge potential that we can realize in areas of economy, information technology. On October 25, Serbia signs an agreement with the EAEU, which opens up new opportunities for cooperation. "
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon inter-parliamentary relations in the Armenian-Serbian interstate relations. Both sides emphasized the need to develop cooperation between the legislative bodies, which, according to the interlocutors, follows from the spirit of traditional friendship between the Armenian and Serbian peoples. In this context, the importance of cooperation between the delegations of Armenia and Serbia in interparliamentary assemblies was also emphasized.
