ArmInfo. The Georgian side does not create obstacles for Armenian vehicles at the Sadakhlo checkpoint of the Georgian-Armenian border. ArmInfo was informed about this in the press service of the RA Embassy in Georgia.
At the same time, the embassy clarified that the Georgian side has no problems with throughput, however, they allow for passing as many cars as the Armenian side is capable of accepting. "The Armenian side does not manage to deal with the large flow of vehicles, because there are only two branches, queues have accumulated because of this," the Armenian Embassy stated, adding that the Georgian side has built parking lots for cars in the adjacent territories at all of its checkpoints with the aim of ordering queues. Earlier, Armenian media reported with reference to truckers that numerous lines had accumulated on the Armenian-Georgian border. "Drivers complain that the Georgians at the border in the village of Sadakhlo have built a new parking lot and demand that they park their cars here for 30 GEL. You drive here, pay 30 GEL, then just go. They've been holding us since yesterday evening, they don't work, we ourselves don't understand anything. There are huge queues here, we don't even know when we will move forward. At that moment, more than 300 trucks are standing. There are a lot of them at customs, in the parking lot and here. Nobody takes care, " one of the drivers who called the media informed.
