ArmInfo. The fan movement "The First Armenian Front" has assumed the responsibility for the incident with the drone during the match of the 2nd round of the group stage of the Europa League "Dudelange" - "Karabakh" (1: 4).
"Our guys from Belgium, led by Spartak, did the action," the First Armenian Front noted in Facebook.
As ArmInfo previously wrote, during the match, fans launched a drone with the flag of Nagorno-Karabakh into the center of the stadium. This fact did not leave indifferent those present at the match, and there was a skirmish between the fans and the players, after which the chief referee John Beaton stopped the game. The game resumed only after 25 minutes.
This fact disturbed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and the press secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Leyla Abdullayeva, who assured that they were keeping the situation under control, made an urgent statement on her Twitter page. "The Azerbaijani ambassador accredited in Luxembourg was instructed in connection with the submission of an appeal to the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make sure that the persons who organized the provocation were identified and brought to justice," L. Abdullayeva said.
Moreover, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) sent a complaint to UEFA about what happened. Luxembourg's sports minister apologized to the Azerbaijani team and the Karabakh fans on behalf of his country's government for the incident.
