Healthcare Minister: Condition of the officer, injured in a fight  with an official in Yeghgnadzor, is extremely serious

ArmInfo. Armenian Healthcare  Minister Arsen Torosyan visited Lt. Col. Ara Mkhitaryan, who was  seriously injured during an incident in Vayots Dzor region.

To recall, on September 18, a message was received from the  Yeghegnadzor medical center in the Vayots Dzor region that an officer  of the Shirak region was hospitalized in an unconscious state. Later,  he was transferred to the hospital of the Ministry of Defense of  Armenia with a preliminary diagnosis of "severe closed craniocerebral  trauma, bruising of the right hemisphere of the brain of moderate  severity" and other severe injuries. An urgent operation was  performed. According to the official report of the Investigative  Committee, during a dispute in the courtyard of a building in the  city of Yeghegnadzor, officer of the Ministry of Defense Ara  Mkhitaryan was seriously injured. Harutyun Grigoryan, 28-year-old  assistant to the governor of Vayots Dzor, punched the officer in the  head, as a result of which he fell, having received serious injuries.  In the framework of the criminal case, Grigoryan was charged with  intentional grievous bodily harm. Assistant Governor Arrested.  Doctors at the moment estimates the condition of Lieutenant Colonel  of the Ministry of Defense Ara Mkhitaryan as extremely serious. Amid  the scandal, the governor of Vayots Dzor Trdat Sargsyan announced his  intention to resign.

According to the minister, at the moment there are no positive  dynamics in Mkhitaryan's condition. "At present, his condition  remains extremely serious. It is very difficult to make forecasts,  but everything is being done to save his life and restore his  health," the head of the Armenian Ministry of Healthcare concluded.
