ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, on a working visit to New York, met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to the press service of the government, Pashinyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to partnership with NATO, especially in the framework of peacekeeping missions, and is interested in deepening it.
In his turn, Jens Stoltenberg noted that Armenia is an important partner for NATO, and the bilateral Individual Partnership Program is a good basis for the continuous strengthening of relations.
The interlocutors exchanged views on issues related to the Armenia-NATO partnership. The process of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also touched. Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that Armenia sees the solution to the conflict exclusively within the framework of the peace process and has repeatedly stated this after the revolution.
NATO Secretary General stressed the importance of the commitment of the Prime Minister of Armenia to a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He also noted that NATO supports efforts for a peaceful settlement in the context of regional peace, stability and security.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current situation and the problems of international and regional security.
