ArmInfo. The salary fund of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia will increase by 29%, and the average monthly salary of ordinary personnel will reach 130 thousand drams. The corresponding decree was adopted at a government meeting on September 26.
As the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Felik Tsolakyan stated, presenting the draft decision, the document creates the legal basis for paying allowances to the rescue service employees. Until now, according to him, the corresponding allowances were relied only on the rescue team, serving in special conditions on the territory of the Metsamor NPP.
Meanwhile, as of today, as the minister pointed out, the salary of junior officers is 85-90 thousand drams. "This level of cash compensation is inadequate to the work performed by these people, who often risk their health and life," Tsolakyan emphasized, noting that even with higher salaries, employees of the department will receive less than in other law enforcement agencies.
As a result of the adoption of the document, state treasury expenses in 2019 will increase by 475 million 802 thousand drams, and in 2020 - by 1 billion 903 million drams.
