ArmInfo. As part of a working visit to the United States in New York, a meeting was held between the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
As the press service of the RA Prime Minister's Office, welcoming Narendra Modi, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the two countries and peoples have strong historical ties and have great potential for developing bilateral relations. The Prime Minister of Armenia noted that Armenia attaches great importance to cooperation with India and is ready to continue consistent and active joint work towards the full realization of the existing potential.
In his turn, the Prime Minister of India noted that he was pleased with the first meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia and the discussion of issues related to Armenian-Indian relations. According to Narendra Modi, the friendly relations between Armenia and India have long and strong ties, and India is interested in developing bilateral cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan and Narendra Modi discussed the prospects for deepening economic, political, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries. The interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation in the film industry. In the context of expanding trade relations, the interlocutors spoke about the intensification of contacts between business circles and the organization of mutual visits. The parties agreed to facilitate the exchange of business groups at the state level, which will be an additional incentive for the development of bilateral economic cooperation.
The Prime Ministers of Armenia and India also exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict and the Kashmir issue.
