ArmInfo. Armenian President  Armen Sargsyan congratulated the citizens of the country on  Independence Day.

This was reported by the press service of the  president.  In the message of Sargsyan, in particular, it says: "I  want to congratulate everyone on the Independence Day of Armenia. All  that we have today, namely freedom, independence, homeland and  statehood, we owe first of all to ourselves. And all our future  achievements, we we'll also do it ourselves, through our unity, by  joint efforts. And the best way to achieve all our goals and dreams  is daily work, caring for the country and patriotism."

The President emphasized that if the Motherland ceases to live in us,  and if we do not live in it, then it will turn into just a point on a  geographical map. "To love our Motherland, you need to know it,"  according to Sargsyan, it's not enough to know the place of Armenia  on the map, but you need to see it. After all, just seeing your  homeland, you will be able to understand what needs to be done for  it.

"As in the first years of independence, and the subsequent difficult  time, today our state faces a number of tasks, and the key to solving  them is in our hands. I urge you not to spare your efforts and become  guardians of our state, our church and take care of each other ",  Armen Sargsyan emphasized.  He also emphasized that as a state we are  a bridge between different civilizations. The President emphasized  that in different parts of the world there is a different system of  values, and people are indifferent to each other, and it is all the  more important to maintain our system of values.

"We can differ from each other, but in the name of our common goals,  in the name of our independence, in the name of our future, we must  be united. Eternal glory to all the heroes who sacrificed their lives  in the name of independence!", The president concluded.
