ArmInfo. The newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanyte-Tolockiene handed over copies of credentials to RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
As the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia told ArmInfo, during the meeting Mnatsakanyan expressed confidence that the newly appointed ambassador will contribute to strengthening and deepening the Armenian-Lithuanian friendly relations.
The Minister presented to the newly appointed Ambassador the reform program of the Armenian government and foreign policy priorities, emphasizing the importance of providing an enabling environment for the economic revolution. In this context, the priority function of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was emphasized, namely the creation of platforms for cooperation between the direct participants and the international partners of the two countries. Touching upon the Armenia-EU interaction, the Minister praised the role of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union which is the new legal basis for relations with the structure and its member states. According to him, the agreement is also a successful tool for promoting reforms in Armenia. In this context, the Armenian Foreign Minister also attached particular importance to stimulating contacts between people. A thorough exchange of views took place on a number of important issues of the international and regional agenda.
