ArmInfo. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia yesterday registered an earthquake at the 12 km south-east from Bavra village, Armenia-Georgia border zone with 7-8 magnitude. According to the official website of the department, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.8. The earthquake focus was at a depth of 10 km. Shocks were felt in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Aragatsotn, Armavir and Yerevan.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the earthquake in Armenia, there were no victims and destruction.
The earthquake was followed by about 30 aftershocks, magnitude from 1.8 to 3.7.
