ArmInfo. The Union of Armenian Doctors of France (UMAF), with the assistance of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, implemented a charity program "Glasses for Armenia" in the Tavush region. ArmInfo was informed about this in the press service of the bank.
According to the source, for the fourth year in a row, with the assistance of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, UMAF doctors bring optical lenses, ophthalmological and laboratory equipment to Armenia, examine the eyesight of children on the ground, and, if necessary, make and donate glasses to them. As part of this program, 600 children were examined in the Tavush region.
The co-founder of the program, one of the UMAF doctors Petros Ohanyan noted that in order to exclude transport problems, the Union organized the transportation of children from other towns by bus. ''We are grateful to our partner, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, which for several years in a row provides for the implementation of the program most of the required amount. With these funds, we organize the transportation of necessary equipment from France to Armenia and carry out other organizational work'', he stressed.
In the framework of cooperation between ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and UMAF, which started in 2016, Armenian doctors from France annually with the assistance of the bank implement a free ophthalmology program for children in different regions of Armenia.
