ArmInfo.Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia Feliks Tsolakyan congratulated the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on their professional day- Rescuer's Day. Speaking at the Ministry of Emergency Situations on September 4, the head of the Ministry of Emergencies noted that the Rescuer is a hero-soldier of his homeland and people, who day and night fights against fire, earthquake and landslide, ensuring the safety of his citizen.
<Our people have been celebrating ten years as the day of perhaps the most humane employee of the power structure of the planet. The rescuer never punishes, but, risking his own life and health, saves the lives of others. The lifeguard's work is a mission>, Tsolakyan noted in his speech.
He stressed that a lot has been done for the system; a structure has been created from scratch, which is able to provide assistance not only to its country, but also to neighboring people, who are in danger and difficulties.
<Our rescuers are not inferior to the rescuers of advanced states, but this does not mean that there are no problems that need to be addressed. Times have changed, and with them the challenges of the system, along with technological development, the risk of disasters increases, which forces them to rally around one common goal>, the Minister of Emergency Situations said.
According to him, this year there were complex fires, the consequences of which could be crucial for the country, noting that the number and scale of the fires were so great that the central apparatus was involved.
"It may seem funny, but we could not find rescuers to participate in rehearsals to prepare for the parade, all the rescuers were involved in fire fighting," he said, adding that today rescuers are honorably fulfilling the task assigned to them.
It should be noted that on the occasion of Rescue Day, Felix Tsolakyan was awarded a medal for effective cooperation. In turn, in a conversation with reporters, the minister said that he had presented two rescuers with cars, in light of the fact that both employees, returning from the scene of the accident, had an accident and their cars were badly damaged. "In this regard, I do not know whether I have the right or not, but I decided to present the same brand of cars to the lieutenant colonel of the rescue service Garegin Hakobyan and senior sergeant Andranik Ghazaryan," Tsolakyan said. He also added that from October 1, salaries to all employees of the Ministry of Emergencies will be increased. <The government should discuss and approve the final rates, but I asked for a significant increase in salaries. I don't want to give you the numbers so that the guys wouldn't be disappointed with lower rates>, the minister said. Tsolakyan noted that, as in any department, the Ministry of Emergencies also has unscrupulous personnel and optimization will start from them. He added that the purges will primarily affect the top management of the ministry. It should be noted that now the salary of firefighters ranges from 80-150 thousand drams.
