ArmInfo.On September 2, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin took part in the ceremony dedicated to the "Day of Knowledge", which took place in the secondary school of the village of Fioletovo, where the Russian community lives.
According to the press service of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Armenia, in his speech the head of the diplomatic mission emphasized that the school helps residents of the community integrate into Armenian society and, therefore, contribute to its comprehensive development. Moreover, as Kopyrkin noted, the Molokans also play a connecting role between the peoples of Russia and Armenia. The ambassador congratulated the teaching staff, students and their parents on the beginning of the jubilee, 50th academic year and wished them success, new knowledge and new experiences.
"Sergey Valko, Director General of the South Caucasus Railway CJSC, took part in the event. The Russian company has been supporting Fioletovo Secondary School for several years. This year the school grounds were fenced, classes were repaired, textbooks were replenished, new desks and equipment were purchased. Children, who went to first grade today, received a set of necessary school kits", the embassy informs. In this regard, Kopyrkin emphasized that it is nice to see that Russian business is increasingly aware of its social and ethical responsibility, as evidenced by the steady growth of charitable projects, one example of which is the work of SCR. In addition to the important socio-economic activity, which is the development of railway transport in Armenia, the Russian company is engaged in charitable and social projects.
