ArmInfo. A management system that is based on the legitimacy of one person, in the case of Armenia, it is Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is very vulnerable. Political scientist Stepan Danielyan was expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
"Accordingly, the loss of his legitimacy by this person will put the country's governance system in very serious danger. Armenia is already at a dangerous stage, because the unconditional collapse of the political field has created very serious problems for us. In fact, Pashinyan is the only legitimate actor in Armenia. And it is on his foundation the government and parliament were formed, "he said.
Under such conditions, the political scientist does not exclude the most negative scenario for the further development of events when the fall of Pashinyan will pose Armenia with serious problems, up to chaos and natural situations. According to Danielyan's estimates, the main task of the Armenian society, in this light, today is to prevent the implementation of this particular scenario.
"We still need Pashinyan, first of all, in order to ensure a smooth transition as possible in the direction of the transit of power. In this light, he needs the protection of society. However, he, in turn, needs to soberly assess the situation and promote his own smooth care without special shocks for the state and society. The organization of this process needs a clear sequence of steps, "he said.
Meanwhile, according to Danielyan's estimates, such a situation could be prevented by creating a provisional, non-partisan government after the change of power in the republic and holding parliamentary elections only after a number of legislative changes. And even in the absence of all the above steps, it was possible to avoid turning the parliament into a place where mostly faceless button presses were crowded by holding elections not in December last, but in May of this year.
In this case, according to the political scientist, the National Assembly would be a much more diverse body of power, where it would be possible to discuss issues. All this would lead to a situation where the place of political debate would be the Armenian parliament, and not the streets of Yerevan.
