Armenian customs structures will issue temporary license plate  numbers for imported cars 

ArmInfo.The customs structures of Armenia will issue temporary icense plate numbers for cars imported into the republic. The decision was made at a  government meeting on November 29.

Introducing the draft decision, Chairman of the RA State Revenue  Committee David Ananyan noted that, in principle, the issue of  providing state license plate numbers are included in the functions  of the RA Police, however, cars imported into Armenia overcome the  way from the border to the police without state license plate  numbers, which creates some inconvenience. In this regard, a draft  decision has been developed, according to which this function will  now be performed by customs authorities. After completion of all  customs procedures, the customs authority will provide temporary  state numbers. "After the government's decision is made, a mechanism  will be developed between the Police and the SRC for the acceptance  and delivery of temporary license plate numbers," Ananyan said.

According to him, this decision will facilitate the worries, as well  as the registration procedure, not only for importers, but also for  the police.
