ArmInfo.RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan held a working meeting on August 27 with the participation of governors and deputy ministers.
According to the press service of the department, during the meeting the issue of existing problems in the field of interregional routes, unattended vehicles of settlements, and steps taken to improve the situation were discussed. In parallel with the creation of a unified route network, the minister instructed the governors to notify passengers about the schedule of vehicles in the communities, the frequency of movement, indicating the need to solve existing problems in a short period of time.
Suren Papikyan also emphasized the importance of holding high-level celebrations in Gyumri on September 21 on the occasion of Independence Day. The Minister considered it important to ensure representation in the course of these events of all regions of Armenia with their color, historical and cultural content and works of art.
The Minister was presented with the results of revenue receipts in the budgets of local governments. It was noted that in January-July of this year 25.5 billion drams were collected, which is 3.3 billion drams or 14.8% more than in the same period of the previous year.
It was also noted that the interagency commission approved 483 programs out of 560 applications for subsidies received this year, for a total amount of 23.76 billion drams. The amount of co-financing of these programs from the state budget of the Republic of Armenia is 12.95 billion drams, the amount of co- financing of communities is 10.27 billion drams, and other investments are about 400 million drams. The meeting also touched upon issues requiring priority solutions in the regions, as well as issues of ensuring transparency and efficient management of community property.
