ArmInfo.A large fire at the foot of Mount Ara, which began on August 20 and covered two regions of Armenia, has been localized, but still not extinguished.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies, as of 6:30pm on August 20, about 150 hectares of grass cover were burning. More than 80 firefighters, 18 forestry employees, and more than 70 local residents participated in putting out the fire.
"The fire was localized at 02:15am on August 21. About 1300 ha of vegetation burns in the Kotayk region, and 500 ha in the Aragatsotn region," the Ministry of Emergencies informs.
