ArmInfo.Prosperous Armenia faction of RA National Assembly prepares draft law "On plebiscite ", which will make it possible to determine the opinion of the people on  the Amulsar Gold Mine. MP from the Prosperous Armenia faction, head  of the parliamentary human rights faction Naira Zohrabyan reported  this to the correspondent of ArmInfo.

 According to her, unlike the law "On referendum," the law "On plebiscite" will not have the force of law, but it will be possible to find out the opinion of people on  one or another important issue. "In principle, we prepared this  document to find out the opinion of our fellow citizens according to  the Istanbul Convention, but it will be possible to use its  provisions on other issues, including the Amulsar project, "MP  emphasized.

Ecologist Knarik Hovhannisyan also responded to the situation.  According to her, it is strange that no one voices the fact that the  Lydian campaign is not an international institutional investor and  does not have any background, especially in the field of mining  industry. The company was created exclusively for the Amulsar  project, and thanks to lobbyists, including Ruben Vardanyan and a  couple of famous people, they managed to involve the International  Finance Corporation and the European Development Bank among the  shareholders. "By the way, IFC left the project two years ago. Due to  their presence at that time, Lydian entered the Canadian stock  exchange with virtually unsecured shares bought by Western investment  funds, especially pension funds. This money was invested in the  project. Thus , at the first stage we were dealing exclusively with a  financial transaction, "the specialist emphasized.

If the project is closed, she believes, the retirement savings of  Western inhabitants will suffer, in the first place, which worries  the Anglo-Saxon West. Here is a classic example of the neocolonial  perception of little Armenia, "the ecologist noted.

In an interview with ArmInfo correspondent, the specialist called for  a final solution to this issue through the mechanism of holding a  referendum in the country.
