ArmInfo. The Sanitek company issued a statement in connection with yesterday's statements by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan, announced during broadcast live via the Armenian PM's Facebook page.
Touching on yesterday's discussions, Sanitek said: "The company has repeatedly sent letters to the Prime Minister, where we described the situation and asked for a meeting, however, all our letters remained unanswered. In fact, the Mayor's answers were enough.
If our company were invited yesterday, we would take part in these discussions so that the prime minister and the public can hear both sides. But consolidated slander continues, and the goal is clear.
We declare that, despite the fact that Sanitek told the whole truth during its press conference, the company offers to meet again. We will turn point by point to all the misinformation that was voiced during yesterday's discussions so that the society would not be misled, "the Sanitek company concludes.
It should be noted that yesterday during a live broadcast with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan stated that the country's authorities made a mistake by providing only one company with a garbage collection function. Telling the prime minister about the current situation with garbage collection, Marutyan called one of the reasons for the failure of Sanitek, which, in his opinion, does not own the sphere, this fact. He also said that the information about the company having any experience in garbage collection at the company is contradictory. According to the mayor, Sanitek cannot work, first of all, because the fleet is in poor condition. Moreover, Marutyan noted that after Sanitek entered the Armenian market, the previously existing sanitary sectors were liquidated, however trusting such a business by one company always carries risks. To recall according to State Revenue Committee (SRC)) of Armenia, Sanitek International LLC and the Armenian branch of Sanitek LLC owed the state about 600 million drams. At a meeting of the Council of Elders, it was also decided to allocate 1 billion 726 million drams to resolve problems with garbage collection. It should be noted that the problem of garbage collection has been acute in Yerevan since last summer. Yerevan Municipality and Sanitek cannot agree on the proper organization of waste collection, periodically making mutual accusations. The city authorities have repeatedly fined the company (for a total of 150 thousand dollars), and recently, Sanitek went to court, demanding compensation in almost the same amount.
