ArmInfo. Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev considers important the close cooperation between Russia and Armenia on issues of international information security. This is stated in the press service of the apparatus of the Security Council of the Russian Federation following the meeting of Patrushev in Yerevan with the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan, TASS reports.
The Russian-Armenian security consultations held in Yerevan addressed issues of interaction between the two countries in international organizations in the interests of national security of the two countries, as well as topics of cooperation with the field of information security, the report said.

In general, Patrushev, who has been in Armenia on a two-day visit since August 12, and Grigoryan discussed a wide range of issues of interaction between the two countries through the apparatus of the Security Councils, law enforcement agencies, military departments and special services. The parties also exchanged views on the state of regional security and touched upon the subject of trade and economic relations.
In addition, they spoke about Russian-Armenian cooperation within the framework of international organizations - the Eurasian Economic Union, the CIS, the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the UN General Assembly.
