ArmInfo. The British Foreign Ministry announced the appointment of a new Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Armenia, who will be Alan Gogbashian. On Monday, the press service of the British department informed.
Gogbashian will replace Judith Fanworth, who will be transferred to another diplomatic post. He is expected to take up his duties in a new position in September 2019.
It should be noted that Gogbashian has been working in the UK Foreign Ministry since 2008. The diplomat led the export-licensing group from 2008 to 2010. From 2011 to 2014, he was the British Deputy Ambassador to Morocco. Later, Gogbashian served as head of the Department of the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico at the Ministry. Recently, he headed the international personnel department of the ministry.
It doesn't get reported, whether Alan Gogbashian speaks Armenian, but it is known that he managed to complete the full course of teaching the Russian language
