ArmInfo. In a criminal case being considered by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Vayots Dzor Region on the facts of hooliganism, as well as the beating of three people, three residents of Jermuk were indicted.
According to the investigation, on August 27, 2018, between 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., there was a quarrel between the employees of" Lydian Armenia" CJSC and the citizens who held a protest against the exploitation of the Amulsar Gold Mine, during which two residents of the city of Jermuk, (Born in1993 and 1987) they beat an employee of Lydian Armenia CJSC and his son, inflicting blows with his hands and feet, resulting in bodily injuries and physical pain that did not contain signs of slight harm to health.
In addition, on June 21, 2019, at about 11:30 p.m., a resident of the city of Jermuk, on his VAZ-21015 car, transported two citizens, at the request of the latter, to a temporary housing built by people who protested against the exploitation of the Amulsar Gold Mine, with the aim of blocking the road leading to the territory of "Lydian Armenia" CJSC, where they, along with the 26-year-old resident of the city, consumed alcohol. Then they asked the driver of the <VAZ-21015> car to transport them to Jermuk, where a quarrel arose between the 26-year-old young man and the driver of the specified car, during which the 26-year-old young man, deciding to emphasize his personality's advantage over the driver, out of hooligan motives hit him on the head with a hand, after which they got out of the car.
During this time, a 27-year-old resident of the city of Jermuk also approached them, who, not finding out the true cause of the dispute, joining a friend's hooligan actions, pulled the driver out of the car with him and inflicted numerous indiscriminate blows with his hands and feet on different parts of his body, inflicting bodily injury not containing signs of slight harm to health.
During the use of violence against a car driver, a 26-year-old man made rude and offensive language. During the investigation, data were also obtained that on the same day, at about 01:30, during the arrest on suspicion of hooliganism by the officers of the Jermuk Police Department of the Republic of Armenia, the 26-year-old man did not comply with the legal requirements of these officials, who are representatives of the authorities In addition, continuing his hooligan actions, loudly cursed and threatened, and also physically resisted police officers. Based on the aggregate of sufficient evidence obtained, a 27-year-old resident of the city of Jermuk was charged under clause 1 of part 3 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. A 32-year-old resident of the same city has been charged under Article 118 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The 26-year-old was charged under article 118 and clauses 1 and 2 of part 3 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Arrest was chosen as a preventive measure. The investigation continues.
