ArmInfo.Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan met with newly appointed Czech Ambassador to RA Bedrich Kopecky (Bedrich Kopecky).
The press service of the Armenian government told ArmInfo that Avinyan stressed at the meeting that the Czech Republic is one of Armenia's reliable partners, adding that the high-level political contacts create solid foundations for developing cooperation in various directions.
In turn, the Czech diplomat assured that the Armenian-Czech relations would spare no effort to upgrade to a new level.
The interlocutors agreed that there is a large untapped potential in trade and economic relations and it is necessary to take steps to intensify economic contacts.
The parties touched upon Armenia-EU relations and cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership. Avinyan noted that given the significant positive changes that have occurred in Armenia, the agreement on a comprehensive and expanded partnership between the RA and the EU acquires a new meaning.
The parties also discussed the issue of visa liberalization between Armenia and the EU.
