ArmInfo. The Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia temporarily suspended the authority of Judge David Grigoryan, who is in the case of falsification of documents.

 Note that David Grigoryan is the judge who made the decision to release  the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan from  arrest on bail of the former and current Presidents of Artsakh,  terminating the case on March 1, 2008 and referring it to the  Constitutional Court.  The ARIA intends to make a statement today in  connection with the decision to temporarily suspend the authority of  Judge Grigoryan. Judge Grigoryan himself, speaking to reporters the  night before, said that he was not aware of the decision made by the  BCC, first heard about it from the media, he himself is currently on  leave.

Recall that Grigoryan is accused in the case of falsification of  documents, which was instituted in July 2018, but was terminated due  to the lack of evidence of a crime. The case was again resumed a few  days after Grigoryan accepted the verdicts on the release of  Kocharyan from arrest and the termination of the case on March 1,  2008 and his referral to the Constitutional Court.

On July 16, a search was conducted in Grigorian's office in his  absence. Grigoryan's lawyer claims that the search was conducted  illegally, because neither the judge nor the BCC, as required by the  law, were informed of this, nor was the court's decision to do so. It  is noteworthy that during the search, not only the documents relating  to the case in which Grigoryan was being held were confiscated, but  also the documents relating to the case of March 1, 2008.

We note that at present, a protest of Kocharyan supporters is held in  front of the government building, holding posters with photos of him:  "Kocharyan, the hero!" They recalled that exactly one year has passed  today, as in Kocharyan's case < illegal>, by their definition,  production.
