ArmInfo. Starting from August 1, the seven-day work schedule will be set in the Noragavit auto-customs department, and the number of employees will increase by 6, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia Shushanik Nersisyan informed on her Facebook page.
"In 2018, about 67,000 cars were imported. At the end of this month, this figure will be exceeded, and we will have about 70,000 clearance. This significant increase in imports is due to the fact that starting from 2020, the transition to a single customs tariff will be implemented within the EAEU ", Nersisyan noted. Predicting the growth of imports, starting from January 2019, a 6-day working week was established for auto-customs in Noragavit, and the staff increased by 5 people. At the same time, active clearance of cars began in all customs points of the republic, as well as unloading cars in customs warehouses. Currently, about 700 cars are registered daily in Armenia, of which about 500 are issued at Noragavit. "Starting from August 1, Noragavit's customs department will work with a 7-day schedule, and another 6 employees will work. The unloading operations at customs warehouses will also be held on Saturdays. Meteksim Customs warehouse will be re-equipped and soon in this warehouse also cars will be issued ", - Nersisyan said.
At the same time, according to the deputy chairman of SRC, for a comprehensive solution of the problem, it is very important to fulfill the instructions of the Prime Minister to transfer the auto customs to Gyumri, where all the necessary conditions and corresponding infrastructures for quick and easy registration of cars will be created. Large-scale work on the implementation of the order, as Nersisyan pointed out, has already begun. "According to the Prime Minister, the customs will be transferred to Gyumri by the end of the year," Shushanik Nersisyan said.
