Political parties urge the president to appeal to deputies to reduce  the passions around the judicial system

ArmInfo. The establishment of a balance between the branches of state power is one of the guarantees for the development of any country. This is stated in a joint  statement of the political parties of Armenia.

The statement, in particular, reads as follows: "The independence of  the legislative, executive and judicial systems is a prerequisite for  excluding the concentration of power in the hands of one political  force, which is one of the main prerequisites for establishing a  monarchy in the country. Therefore, any attempt by political  authorities to influence the courts and judges are unacceptable, "the  statement stresses.  It is also noted that one of the main guarantees  of an effective justice system is its political apathy and  independence from legislative and executive authorities.

"A new power in opposition to internationally recognized and  constitutional principles, under the pretext of establishing  democracy, fighting corruption, as well as manipulating the  accumulated problems over the years in the judicial system, is trying  to completely subjugate the judicial system. " the court. "To this  end, the political majority in the National Assembly actually led the  President to nominate a candidate they wanted to serve as judge of  the Constitutional Court red, the next day after the election,  illegally proclaimed himself head of the Constitutional Court. The  pro-government press and a narrow circle of experts are actively  involved in the implementation of this program for seizing the  judiciary, which always emphasize the need to reform the judicial  system. The stability of the country is hit, moreover, the  international image of Armenia is hit in the same way, "the statement  says.

Political parties require the legislative and executive authorities  of Armenia to abandon actions that threaten the statehood of the  country and initiate an integrated approach to reform the judicial  system in the country.  "We also demand that the President, who is  the head of state and the guarantor of the Constitution, address the  National Assembly in connection with the current situation. He should  urge the deputies to do everything possible to reduce the passions  around the judicial system in Armenia including the Constitutional  Court.We appeal to political forces, civil society and our  compatriots, concerned about the future of the country, and urge them  to abandon actions, hinder to establish the rule of law, unite around  the agenda of legal reforms, providing the necessary professional  support for their implementation, "the statement said.

The parties declare that in case of continuation of "lawlessness on  the part of the current authorities", they will oppose this with all  constitutional motodes. Parties having signed this statement are:  "Freedom", "National Agenda", "Yerkir Tsirani", Democratic Party of  Armenia, ARF "Dashnaktsutyun", "United Armenia", party "Ramkavar  Azatakan".
