ArmInfo.The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs under the Prime Minister of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, took part in an enlarged meeting of the Board of the All-Russian public organization Union of Armenians of Russia, which took place on July 18 in the Union's Youth Center building.
"As we see, Sinanyan kept his promise," said President of the Union Ara Abrahamyan, opening the meeting, wishing the newly appointed High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs successful work. In his speech, Sinanyan praised the activities of the Union of Armenians of Russia, emphasizing its scale and uniqueness associated with the unprecedentedly developed network of regional and local branches operating throughout Russia.
He called on the Diaspora Armenians to show not only emotions and high feelings in relation to their historical homeland, but also to treat it as a master of their home.
''An Armenian living in the Diaspora has not only obligations, but also rights. Our work will be hard and diligent so that the results do not disappoint. Without joint efforts, I cannot imagine that we will achieve any success, "Sinanyan said.
