Thus, according to a report by the RA Police, law enforcement agencies received a report that in one of the villages of the Shirak region of Armenia, a girl was subjected to labor trafficking by a resident of the community. "Thanks to the measures taken, it turned out that the girl had been in labor slavery since 2011. For 8 years, the man under threat of violence kept the girl in the stable and made her work for free. She tried several times to escape, but unsuccessfully aman always found her, returned her and brutally beat her, "the RA police said, adding that on June 18, the current girl who had been in slavery for 8 years made another attempt to escape, this time successfully.
As the victim herself told, she fled across the mountains to Aparan and took refuge with the local shepherd, the latter and informed the local police station about the incident.
As the girl said, her relatives brought her to Armenia and left here from Georgia when she was small. She lived in the mountains, working in return for a piece of bread and clothes, and in 2011 she turned out to be with this man, who promised to help her find her mother and arrange the documents, as pay for the work, but deceived her. In fact, a criminal case has been opened in the Armenian Police.
