ArmInfo. The proportion of women who are ready to receive a new education exceeds the indicator among men. This is evidenced by the latest results of a sociological research by BREVIS. It should be noted that according to the latest data of the UN Human Development Index, the literacy rate in Armenia is 99.7%.
At the same time, 97.2% of the adult population has at least a secondary education, the proportion of men with secondary education is 97.6%, women - 96.9%.
In this context, the results of the latest sociological study of BREVIS are interesting, according to which about half of the adult population of the country wants to continue their education in order to get a new profession.
But the most interesting thing is that the proportion of women who are ready to receive a new education exceeds that of men.
According to the survey, in order to get a new specialty, about 53.3% of women in Armenia want to continue their education, this indicator among men is 43.9%. Women want to learn a new profession mainly in the field of medicine (9.0%), pedagogy (6.1%) and linguistics (5.4%). Men prefer jurisprudence (5.1%), economics (4.6%) and IT sector (3.2%) .
