ArmInfo. The 5th annual festival of grass and flowers of Armenia <HayBuys> was held in Tavush region in the village of Yenokavan. The event gathered about 1.5 thousand guests.
As one of the founders of the festival told the ArmInfo correspondent, the head of the Yenokavan Development Fund Irina Chibukhchyan, the festival of flowers and herbs, for which the nature of Armenia is so rich, was a success.
The guests of the festival played interactive games - the landscape zones of Armenia and Artsakh were marked, on which it was necessary to attach plants growing in these zones and belts. Winners of the competition received nice prizes.
A master class for making Armenian brtucha, a kind of pita from lavash filled with various edible greens and cheeses of local producers, was held at the festival. The festival was also presented food court, initiated by regional restaurateurs.
In addition, Chibukhchyan called important the fact that this year they managed to present to the participants of the event a wide range of herbs and flowers typical of Armenia, including dried ones with medicinal properties, which could be purchased locally or received as a gift.
With the assistance of the Teryan Cultural Center, designer Lilit Melikyan, specially for the festival, prepared a new collection of dresses with floral ornaments.
<Holding such festivals makes the Tavush region more recognizable and more visited. "Everything that is being done by the" Yenokavan Development Fund "is aimed at the development of the community," concluded Chibukhchyan.
