ArmInfo.Citizens of Armenia should be proficient in several foreign languages and in this series the role of the Russian language is important and exceptional. This opinion was expressed by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on July 2 at the ceremony of awarding diplomas to the first graduates of the Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Yerevan.
According to the prime minister, the existence of a university of a similar level in the country is, first of all, an opportunity to join the vast experience and knowledge. <The presence of the University of this level in Armenia is fully consistent with our ideas about the future development of the country. We are confident that all the existing tasks in the RA have one solution - this is knowledge, and such universities bring a great deal of experience to the country and give us an exceptional opportunity to use it, "he said.
Nikol Pashinyan thanked the government of the Russian Federation for assistance in opening the university. "Such universities allow us to expand our worldview," he stressed. Noting the important role of the Russian language, the head of the Armenian government stressed that the mission of the Branch, among other things, is to create a new platform for the dissemination of the language.
According to the Prime Minister, it is very symbolic that the first graduates receive their diplomas in <new Armenia>. "The changes that took place in Armenia became a reality, including with your help," the head of the Cabinet said, addressing graduates. At the same time, Pashinyan expressed confidence that today's bachelors will contribute to the further development of Armenian-Russian relations, which both had and continue to be of strategic importance. "I'm sure that the future of Armenia depends on one person and this person can be every one of you," concluded Nikol Pashinyan.
