ArmInfo. The absurd situation around the partially destroyed building of the Children's Philharmonic <The Little Singers of Armenia> was the result of the non-fulfillment of their direct duties by the staff of the Yerevan Municipality, for which they must be punished. Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the "Little Singers of Armenia" choir Tigran Hekeyan stated this at a press conference.
<While the building at address of Arami 23 is in a dilapidated state, we are forced to work in a rented apartment. The company, which is the developer of the territory adjacent to Arami Street, as a result of which activities part of the choir building collapsed, does not want to conclude an agreement with us covering the financing of the rent. It promises that today - tomorrow it will conclude it, but so far this amount has not been allocated to us, "said Hekekyan.
In addition, Hekeyan expressed concern that the dilapidated historic building on 23 Arami Street and adjacent buildings adjacent to it pose a threat to pedestrians and passing cars. The maestro also accused the chief architect of Yerevan, Artur Meschyan, of spreading misinformation around pseudo-projects for the restoration of the building. "For the first time, he said that when he told a press conference that there was a project on which the building should be restored, but no one had seen this project. In this regard, we regularly wrote letters demanding to provide us with an approved document, but never received any response, "he said.
He also said that dozens of letters had been sent to the supervisory structures, but this question still hung in the air. "It is surprising that with the current government such issues do not find their solution and are put on the shelf. If the country is in the hands of such people, then this becomes a serious problem, given the fact with which people's euphoria these people came to power, "he said.
