ArmInfo.Main shareholder and owner of AFK "Systems" Vladimir Yevtushenkov stated that former President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, who is under arrest, remained on the Board of Directors of "Systems" because the company considers the trial over it to be political, RIA Novosti reports.
"I just wanted to mention, and give an information. You know that former president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan for many years have been permanent and independent member of the board of directors. Today, as you know, he is again in custody. We find that, firstly, there are no, accusations, secondly, the process is clearly political. We decided to include the new board of directors, moreover, he agreed to the period when he was free, because we believe that this is right. I inform that this decision was made, " Yevtushenkov said
On June 23, the Court of Appeal of Armenia overturned the decision of the court of first instance on changing the measure of restraint to Kocharyan and arrested him.
