ArmInfo. Armenian authorities cannot have <their> candidate for the position of Artsakh President. The speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan said this today, June 28, in an interview with journalists, referring to the topic of the upcoming presidential elections in the NKR.
"The Armenian authorities do not have such a right to nominate or support any candidate. This will interfere in the internal affairs of another country," said Mirzoyan.
Note that the ex-secretary of the Artsakh Security Council, Vitaly Balasanyan, the ex-state minister Araik Harutyunyan, and the ex-minister of the Defense Army Samvel Babayan have already announced their intention to participate in the presidential elections in Artsakh. By the beginning of the presidential race, the number of candidates, according to analysts, will increase. According to the rumors, ex-state minister Araik Harutyunyan is a preferred candidate for the presidency of Artsakh for the Armenian authorities. Artsakh's President Bako Sahakyan himself, as ArmInfo wrote earlier, does not intend to name the name of the assignee or support any of the presidential candidates. He intends, on the basis of his constitutional powers, to ensure the legitimate course of the elections. As reported in an interview with ArmInfo Balasanyan and Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan himself stated in a narrow circle.
