ArmInfo. The members of the UNESCO Francophone Group Bureau, headed by the Chairman of the Group, the Permanent Representative of the RA Ambassador Christian Ter- Stepanyan, met with Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).
Welcoming the guests, the Secretary General of the OIF expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Francophone group, Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanyan, for organizing the meeting, expressing confidence that the group would continue to strengthen the cooperation of the OIF and UNESCO around common priorities.
During the meeting, Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanyan, presenting the activities of the group, noted that its goal is to make the francophonie more recognizable at UNESCO, to give a value orientation to the activities of the OIF in the fields of education, digital technologies.
He also presented the events planned by the French-speaking group, referring, in particular, to the evening dedicated to the memory of Charles Aznavour, which will be held on October 9, as well as an event dedicated to the promotion of values under the slogan "Living Together", which will be held in March 2020.
