ArmInfo.I do not intend to resign. On June 25 at a press conference, said head of the Audit Chamber Levon Yolyan, commenting on the demand of MP from the Bright Armenia faction Arman Babajanyan about his resignation.
In this regard, Yolyan noted that Babajanyan's demand, possibly due to the fact that the report of the Audit Chamber, which revealed many billions of violations, "affects the interests of some influential people living abroad." According to Yolyan, these people are trying "to throw mud at him through other people living in Armenia." "You will understand who they are," Yolyan assured, refusing to give the names of these people. He noted that he never clung to any position and now does not intend to do this. "I want to note that I do not cling to this post, but I will resign when I consider that I have nothing more to do in this post," he stressed. Touching on the talk that he is a protege of the former authorities of Armenia, Yolyan noted: "I had good relations with the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, former Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan. I almost did not communicate with the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, because there was no occasion, however, all I achieved was not at the expense of my acquaintances, but at the expense of long and hard work." He also talked about the businesses attributed to him. "Yes, I opened a Samsung store, after I acquired a building on Amiryan Street, it belonged to the Mark International company, which I founded. However, all the companies I headed closed down, unable to withstand the competition. Today I don't have a business. And the business that I founded was created at the expense of the funds I earned in Moscow, then I transferred my capital and decided to start a business in my homeland, "Yolyan emphasized. At the same time, Yolyan denied rumors about the exploitation of various mines by his family. It should be noted that yesterday MP from the Bright Armenia faction Arman Babajanyan said that Yolyan is "an old cadre of the old system" having various businesses, including the Gegharkunik mine. In this regard, he demanded the resignation of Yolyan from his post.
