The resolution was supported only by opposition representatives of Armenian delegation; leader of the Bright Armenia party, Edmon Marukyan, known for his pro-European views, and a member of the Prosperous Armenia party, Naira Zohrabyan. To note, a total of 118 out of 190 parliamentarians were in favor of the resolution, 62 were against, 10 abstained. It is noteworthy that neighboring Azerbaijan and Turkey and such European countries as France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Norway voted for this resolution in full. According to the resolution, from now on Russia may return to the work of the PACE. To recall, Russia in PACE was deprived of the right to vote since 2014 due to the Crimean conflict.
