ArmInfo. An investigative or temporary commission for studying the events of the April 2016 war can not be formed in the Armenian parliament. The former member of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia, former judge of the Constitutional Court, former Minister of Justice of Armenia, former Deputy Prosecutor General Gervog Danielyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"Neither the commission of inquiry nor the temporary commission to investigate the circumstances of the April war can be formed in the parliament, since only the core permanent commission of the National Assembly can exercise the powers of the commission of inquiry in the field of defense and security," Danielyan wrote, referring to the 4th part of Article 108 of the RA Constitution.
It is noteworthy that Danielyan spoke on this subject only after his resignation from the post of member of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister announced the initiative to create this commission in May of this year.
