ArmInfo. The Armenian Police clarified on the information about forbidding the former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachatarov to leave the RA, despite official permission from the court.
According to the report of the RA Police, received by ArmInfo, the accused Khachaturov was not allowed to leave the country due to the lack of a properly executed judicial document on leave permit. "Part 6 of Article 143 of the RA Criminal Code states that if the accused escaped from the structure conducting the criminal proceedings or went to another place without permission, the prosecutor appeals to court with the mediation to make a pledge of state revenue. From the above, it is clear that the defendant of which the pledge is chosen as a measure of restraint, can travel to other places only with the permission of the structure that carries out the proceedings. The permission must be in the form of a relevant court decision, which was not presented, "the RA Police said, recalling that this comes from Article 143 of the RA Criminal Code.
It should be noted that on Saturday, Khachaturov's lawyer informed that, despite the presence of a court decision, Armenian border guards did not allow his client to leave Armenia through the Bagratashen checkpoint. Khachaturov is accused in the case of March 1 and is accused of participating in the overthrow of the constitutional system in the country
