ArmInfo.I urge the press not to succumb to provocations and not to believe that the Prime Minister's visit to Kazakhstan was unsuccessful. The member of the Armenia- Kazakhstan Friendship Parliamentary Group Vagharshak Hakobyan stated this on June 4 at a press conference.
He noted that this hype in the media was a provocation, and the visit of the prime minister was within the framework of the protocol. "I would like to clarify this situation, all the rumors that the trip was a failure did not correspond to reality. The schedule of the Prime Minister was prepared in advance, there was no violation of the protocol, just a delegation led by the Prime Minister left the dinner a little earlier. I assure you "there are very friendly relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan at both parliamentary and governmental levels," Hakobyan said.
To note, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Nur-Sultan on May 28 with a working visit. On the same day, Pashinyan held a meeting with the former President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and then, on May 29, participated in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. During the visit, it was reported that the Prime Minister of Armenia decided to suspend the visit, not taking part in the official dinner of the heads of the delegations of the EEU member countries, as well as in a meeting with Kazakhstani businessmen of Armenian origin. This information has caused the assumption that the trip was unsuccessful. However, the information was subsequently refuted; the Armenian Prime Minister took part in all the planned events.
