ArmInfo.Head of the National Security Service of Armenia, Arthur Vanetsyan, believes that the case of the attack on the associates of the hero of Artsakh, the former  Defense Minister Samvel Babayan, has been fully solved. He told this  to journalists on May 30 after a government meeting.

"The National Security Service is engaged in this case, it is fully  disclosed, the circle of the involved persons is defined, no  conspiracy should be sought. This is a dispute that arose as a result  of resolving financial issues between two groups of people," said  Vanetsyan. According to him, in the coming hours, an official  statement will be made public about the details and results of joint  activities of the Police and the National Security Service.

To recall, on the night of May 29 to 30, on the Sevan-Martuni  highway, a group of individuals fired upon fellow collaborators of  Samvel Babayan. The office of Samvel Babayan issued a statement in  which it was noted that the former Prime Minister of Karabakh, NKR  presidential candidate Arayik Harutyunyan patronized the attackers.  In a response statement, the Free Homeland party, headed by  Harutyunyan, categorically denied any involvement in the incident,  and condemned the dissemination of unverified and unsubstantiated  information, which attempts to denigrate the good name and reputation  of a political force or an individual figure.
