ArmInfo. Everyone knows the situation that prevails in the country, and what mechanisms are used to denigrate one or another statesman, this or that step taken by authorities. This was announced on May 28 in Sardarapat by the Deputy President of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan in an interview with journalists.
He stated that in the political field of Armenia today there are two groups of people. ''There is a group of people that is engaged in government's activities, and there are people who are paid, and they create the illusion of opposition. They are paid by the very people who are now undergoing criminal cases, or by those who do not exclude the possibility that in the future they will also have to face the law, "the Deputy President of NA emphasized. Simonyan also noted that there is a group of people in the country, which acts not for the good of Armenia, but only for the good of their personal interests and their profit. Simonyan noted that this is a betrayal.
Simonyan also touched upon the topic of the surrender of territories, saying that the matter concerns fact that people who today, allegedly, are concerned about this situation and peddle this topic, at one time discussed a similar opportunity. "This issue has never been on the agenda of the new government of Armenia and has not even been discussed," he stressed. To the remark of the journalists that Nikol Pashinyan's statement on the "conspiracy of war in Armenia" can be used by representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities, Simoyan said: "Armenia, unlike Azerbaijan, is a democratic country. Raising questions, we are pursuing the goal of preventing our soldier from joining the army in a few years and not having any bullets standing at the border. And Azerbaijanis are used to keeping silent about all their problems, so they never solve them, "the Deputy President concluded.
It should be noted that on May 20, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that in Armenia there are specific forces that are trying to split the two Armenian republics. "I see that behind all this there is a conspiracy to unleash a new war, and perhaps even surrender some territories, shifting the responsibility to the government of the country. I see signs of treason in this activity, "the Prime Minister stressed, noting that he, as Supreme Commander, would take the most stringent measures to prevent such conspiracies.
