This became known during the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan with the EU delegation, headed by Vasilis Maragos, Head of the Unit for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Eastern Partnership at the EU Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission According to the government's official statement, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the report would serve as the basis for developing a strategy of reforms in the country's state administration. At the same time, he presented to the guests an agenda for the implementation of reforms in this area, stressing that the government hopes for cooperation with development partners on this issue. In turn, Maragos noted that the EU is ready to provide further assistance, not only through the SIGMA program, but also through other EU financial instruments. According to the source, during the meeting, the members of the SIGMA delegation briefly presented the six main sections of the report, identified shortcomings in the field of public administration in Armenia and provided advice on how to correct them. To note, SIGMA is a joint initiative of the OECD and the European Union. Its goal is to support the members of these international organizations in their efforts to modernize public administration systems. This includes assessing the progress of reforms and setting priorities, helping to create new democratic institutions and forming their regulatory framework, providing support from the EU and other donors in developing projects and implementing action plans.
