ArmInfo. The action to block the entrance of all courts in Armenia was spontaneous. This was stated by police chief Valery Osipyan on May 23 in an interview with journalists.
On the remark that the action could not be spontaneous for the simple reason that it took place at the call of the Prime Minister, Osipyan noted that in any case he considers the action spontaneous and urgent.
As the chief police officer assured, the security forces were not shackled.
"We have video materials on which the police call on the participants to open the entrances to the buildings, just to avoid further clashes and artificial clashes, we chose a strategy for conducting explanatory work at the initial stage," he said.
When asked why the police could not cope with 1,100 protesters, Osipyan retorted: "And who says 1100? You are guided by the number, and for us every person is a citizen!".
