ArmInfo. The Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia made a statement on the revision of subject criteria in secondary schools in Armenia. As part of the program, the Ministry announces the acceptance of applications from national experts.
"State standards of general education in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) will be revised, for which the RA Ministry of Education and Science announces a competition of national experts," the ministry said in a statement.
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia and the World Bank within the framework of the program "Improving the education of natural, technological, engineering disciplines and mathematics for innovation in Armenia", as well as with the support of the Council of Europe, the US Agency for International Development, the United Nations Children's Fund.
As a result of the revision of the criteria, educational programs of STEM subjects in state general education schools, subject programs of grades 5-12, teaching methods and textbooks, an assessment system will be changed, new and modern approaches in teaching subjects will be introduced. Within the framework of the program, expert groups have already been created in which specialists from different countries of the world are involved in inclusive education, educational neurology, and ensuring sustainable development.
The selection process for national experts is currently underway.
