ArmInfo. The procedure for granting housing purchase certificates to military retirees of the Armenian armed forces will be streamlined. At the May 10 meeting, the RA government approved the procedure and the amount of financial assistance from the state, as well as the types of certificates.
As RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan noted in his speech, at the end of last year, 5.7 billion drams were allocated to the implementation of this program by the country's budget for the current year. At the same time, in the capital of Armenia, the state will subsidize 50% of the market price of an apartment in a high-rise residential building, in regions - 70% and in rural areas - 90%. The program will first work in the border regions of the country, then in the regions, and only at the very end - in Yerevan. The minister stressed that the former military personnel will be able to compensate the remaining amount with mortgage loans. In total, the project involved about 1200 beneficiaries. It is planned within the framework of the program to completely close the issue in the regions, and as for Yerevan, various options will be offered here.
In turn, the RA Prime Minister pointed out the need for a flexible approach to resolving this issue. According to him, it is unacceptable if there will be demands for the purchase of housing on Northern Avenue or on Mashtots Avenue, on which many members of the government do not have their own housing. In these areas should live people who legally earned millions. The same applies to graduates of orphanages. "What is wrong if they continue apartments in Artik, Gyumri and other cities of the country," the head of government wondered, adding that "we can live in the third section, although we can temporarily not live there." however, I state that it is a very good place, "Nikol Pashinyan stressed. It should be noted that the permanent apartment of the head of the Armenian government is located in the working quarter of the Armenian capital (on the third section), although he currently resides at a government dacha in the Hrazdan gorge.
