Artsakh President: May 9 holiday is one of the most important pages  of our centuries-old history

ArmInfo. In connection with the  Victory Day, the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the NKR  Defense Army and the liberation of the city of Shoushi, on May 8, a  solemn award ceremony was held at the residence of the Artsakh  Republic President.

 As the press service of the NKR head reports,  for his significant contribution to the defense of the Motherland,  courage and bravery shown in defending the Artsakh state border and  in battles to defend the Motherland, services to the Artsakh Republic  and an effective and dedicated professional activity of the Defense  Army soldiers and soldiers - Liberators, police veterans were awarded  high state awards.  In his speech, Sahakyan stressed that the May 9  holiday is one of the most important pages of our centuries- old  history, which was written by the joint efforts of all Armenians and  became a symbol of heroism and unity, perseverance and unshakable  will of the Armenian people.

The event was attended by the leader of the Artsakh Diocese of the  Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Chairman of  the National Assembly Ashot Ghoulian, Defense Minister Karen  Abrahamyan, and other high-ranking officials.
