ArmInfo. One of the main priorities of the Civil Contract Party, which has a majority in the country's parliament, is the maintenance and development of the originality of the Armenian people. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on May 8, commenting on the issue of replacing national values with Western ones, including the promotion of transgenderism.
As the Prime Minister noted, today's realities have come from the former government to the current government. It was during their rule in the country that 18 persons changed their gender, and it was the previous authorities that gave them the appropriate passports, thereby giving them all the rights. As a result, the prime minister continued, there is a person Lilit, in the passport of which the male gender is indicated. "All this was during the rule of the former regime, and it is not necessary to shift the responsibility to the current government," Nikol Pashinyan said. He added that transgender people, it turns out, have the right to attend churches, light candles, confess, but they have no right to speak in the country's parliament. "It turns out that the National Assembly is a more sacred place than the Armenian Apostolic Church?" The head of government wondered.
He asked a number of questions whether robbery and corruption were originally Armenian values, whether army robberies under patriotic slogans were originally Armenian values, whether election fraud was originally Armenian values. "If they are considered as such, then we do not perceive them," said the head of the government, adding that the original Armenian values could be a project of visiting 300 thousand students a year and 35 thousand teachers of theaters, museums, concerts and exhibition venues. "Anyhow, we intend to protect the interests of all citizens whose rights are enshrined in the Constitution of the country, "Nikol Pashinyan assured.
