ArmInfo.Economic changes that occur and should occur in Armenia are an exclusive priority for us. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated on May 4, during his speech at the investment forum "My step for the good of the Ararat region".
In this vein, he stressed that the key prerequisites for economic changes in Armenia are the philosophy and ideology that form the basis of them. "We call this ideology an individual effort, transformation of an individual. It is very important to understand that this is a direct continuation of the political changes that occurred in Armenia", the prime minister said.
In continuation of what was said, the head of the government noted that the pre-revolutionary philosophy provided for various restrictions for the citizens of Armenia, particularly in matters of sponsorship, obtaining permission, etc. In the previous system, the right to do something, according to Pashinyan, was used exclusively by members of the elite who had the status of "demigods" in the country, which allowed them to shape the future without any restrictions in this regard.
The Prime Minister noted that after the revolution one of the most significant achievements is the change in the answer to the question "what can RA citizens do today?" "Now citizens can do everything, they are not limited by anything, considering that we are talking about creative, legal changes and actions that enjoy their own freedoms and respect others. These philosophical changes have made Armenia one of the foremost democratic countries in the world and this change should turn it one of the advanced economic countries, "Pashinyan stressed.
As the main problem, Pashinyan identified inertial processes from the past, which today largely impede development. "What are these inertial processes? In the economic field, inertia manifests itself in the fact that people do not want to believe in what they see, hear, they continue to need permits and approval. And more than 90% of people who want to invest in the economy want to meet in person and coordinate their actions with the leadership of the country. This is our work, but we should understand that time is limited, "he said.
According to Pashinyan, the main task of the government is to eliminate the need for citizens to apply to the government for economic activities. "The largest government mission is to ensure that citizens in their daily lives need government and communication with government agencies as little as possible. The main task of the government is not to manage people, not to form opinions, not to interfere with them, to promote the creative development of their abilities and skills, support their initiatives. And today we solve this problem every day, "he said.
In conclusion, the prime minister stressed that Armenia will never be the same again. "A citizen of Armenia is omnipotent, and with his thoughts, work and talent he will develop his homeland," he concluded.
